Title: New Associate Director of the Center for the Study of Democracy

Date Entered: 2008-09-25  Details: Professor Judy Stepan-Norris, for the past three years the associate director of the Center for the Study of Democracy, and acting director of CSD in Spring 2008, has become chair-elect of the UCI Academic Senate. We wish Judy the best in her new job and congratulate her on the superb job she did for CSD. We are pleased to announce that another leading member of the sociology department, professor David Meyer, will be replacing Judy as associate director of CSD beginning this fall.
