Title: New Administrator of the Center for the Study of Democracy

Date Entered: 2008-09-25  Details: Carole Nightengale, for the past three years the very very able Adminstrator of the the Center for the Study of Democracy is leaving us to rejoin the Dean's Office. Like Willie she sprovide competence, good humor and unflappability. She will be greatly missed by faculty and students alike. Unlike Willie, however, she did not bequeath CSD any furniture. We are pleased that, with the help of the School of Social Sciences, CSD was able to hire, Sheila Hayden, another highly experienced staff member -- who had been doing events planning in the School of Engineering -- to take on the demanding and intellectually challenging (not to speak of thankless) job of Center Administrator. Please welcome Sheila when you are next in the CSD office (SSPB 5215).
