Title: Ph.D. for Latner

Date Entered: 2008-10-20  Details: CSD Democracy Fellow Michael Latner has been awarded a Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of California,Irvine as of this quarter. His thesis deals with determinants of voter turnout, focusing on contextual effects at the municipal level that interact with individual voter characteristics. Bernard Grofman was chair of Latner's Dissertation Committee. The other members are Scott Bollens (Social Ecology, UCI), Russelll Dalton (Political Science, UCI), and Jeffrey Sellers (Political Science, Geography and Public Policy, University of Southern California).
