![]() John Zogby, the distinguished international pollster, who spoke at UCI on November 18, 2008 under the auspices of the Center for the Study of Democracy as a Chancellor's Distinguished Lecturer offered a remarkably upbeat picture of the American electorate, especially younger voters. Zogby described these voters as "young globals," who are far more likely to travel abroad than older generations, more likely to watch sports other than the traditional American pastimes of baseball, football and basketball, .and who are much more willing to see the virtues in other cultures and to be tolerant about cultural and personal differences. |
